Colleoli is about 35 minutes from the coast at Marina di Pisa. The fashionable resort of Viareggio, north of Pisa is about an hours drive away. Even the Adriatic resorts, such as Rimini are within an easy day trip.

It is best to hire a car from the airport for use during your stay. You can take a taxi from Pisa at a cost of about €75. Trains run from Pontedera and San Romano stations into both Florence and Pisa. There is parking close to the Leaning Tower at Pisa but we would recommend catching a train into Florence.

Colleoli is about 3km from Palaia, which is a small town with a couple of bars and a small supermarket. Pontedera, which is a very large town is about 15km distant. A number of tourist attractions are within a short distance e.g Volterra( 30 mins), San Gimignano( 40 mins), Florence, Siena and Pisa.
